If you are not satisfied with your first lesson then we will refund you and wish you every success with your learning to drive process. We are confident in our ability to provide everything that you need to learn to drive; our reviews speak for themselves.

2. Greer's Gears - Pass Promise

Yes that’s right we make a promise to say you will pass your driving test first time. If you don’t, it's not the end of the world and we do it again and we’ll cover the cost of your second test. This is how our pass promise works for you:

  • You will have at least one session of training a week lasting for 2 hours. If you miss a week you have to make the week up by doubling up.
  • You will do a minimum of 40 hours training, that’s actually 8 hours less than the national average so please don’t think we are trying to make you take more hours.
  • You will have completed your pupil progress chart.
  • You will have passed a mock test.
  • All tests must be booked in the knowledge and agreement of your instructor.
  • You will have passed your theory test within 6 weeks of your first lesson.
  • If in the event you fail your test you will be required to take one remedial lesson per week until your next test.
  • Your driving instructor has the right to pay for the 2nd test or give you free remedial lessons which equal or surpass the value of the driving test.
  • All practical tests and lessons are conducted with a Greer's Gears instructor.

3. FREE REFRESHER LESSON - Two year warranty

After passing the driving test you are subject to new driver laws which say that if you get six penalty points on your licence within the first two years; you will have to retake your driving test. We don’t want that to happen. Our aim with lessons is to teach safe driving for life. If you feel it beneficial to have a refresher lesson after passing; we will help you FOR FREE. Examples of a refresher lesson may include driving a new car for the first time or perhaps you are given a speeding fine. Here are the details on how it works:

  • You need to have been an existing client of Greer's Gears Driving School.
  • You are entitled to two hours of refresher lessons for two years.
  • You cannot exchange, swap or sell the lessons.
  • Lessons you didn’t take can’t be carried over into the following year.
  • Refresher lessons are not for advanced lessons i.e. Pass Plus or Motorway.
  • You provide a fuelled and road legal car which you are insured to drive.
  • We mutually agree the time, date, location and topic of the lesson.
